In the following photos it is unclear who these photographs depict. They were found in a large box of materials of Richard’s grandmother, Alice Jane (Pearl) Wintermute who kept them over the course of decades then gave them to his mother.
The picture of the young boy might be George Pearl/Perril, husband to Jane Helt Pearl.
The picture of the young girl is a mystery.
The side-by-side photos of the couple could be George’s parents, William (1800-1863) and Nancy Doty Pearl (1807 – 1902). The dates for when these persons were alive, and their apparent ages, would make sense with the dates of this type of photography.
If you recognize any of these individuals please leave a comment, Richard can read and make comments too, however, I have access and can get you in touch with him.
I didn’t realize it would take me over a year to make it through the Keller and Delano families and descendants of this line. As I have built the posts about the ancestors and descendants of John and Mary (Delano) Keller I was struck by the fact that the memories of who these people are is fading or has faded. The migrations of the children out of the Morrow County area has caused a disconnect. Hopefully, I have opened a door with these past posts and maybe sparked a connection for someone. If you are a descendant please comment.
Thanks to Richard for his generosity. By the way Richard has many more stories to share about the Helt, Pearl, Doty and Wintermute families and I would be happy to get you in touch with him. Lavina Keller Helt, daughter of John and Mary, would be very pleased to know that her descendants have done well. She was only 36 years old at her death.
